What the assessment examines
A manuscript evaluation is a strategic editorial review designed to help you understand the current strengths, limitations and opportunities within your book. Rather than immediately moving into a full editing process, this assessment gives you an informed view of what is working, what may be holding the manuscript back and which improvements are likely to make the greatest difference.
Manuscript Evaluation — What We Focus On
- Structure, organisation and progression of ideas or narrative
- Character development, pacing, plot logic and reader engagement where relevant
- Clarity of argument, thematic focus, consistency and overall coherence
- Strengths worth protecting and areas that may require further development
What you receive
You receive a considered editorial report with specific observations, prioritised recommendations and practical next steps. The aim is not simply to identify problems, but to help you make confident decisions about revision and the level of editing your manuscript may require.
$0.015 per word
The fee is calculated using the manuscript's total word count. A 50,000-word manuscript is $750. The final proposal confirms the scope and deliverables before work begins.
Let’s determine the right next step for your book.
